Engagement has ended. We’re now collating all the feedback. If you have requested you wished to attend a have your say event to speak to our elected members about your views on the concept plan, we’ll be in touch with details on the date, time and location. When the concept plan is adopted, this site will be updated to ensure you know what the outcome is.

The Omokoroa Reserves Concept Plans are currently out for feedback.

Engagement ends at 4pm Monday 20 November 2017.

Why is Council doing these concept plans?

During the recent Kaimai Ward Review Management Plan review, Omokoroa residents asked Council to update and include a new concept plan for these two reserves.

What are Reserve Management Plans?

These plans set the rules for how people use public spaces.

What are concept plans?

Concept plans provide more detail about how reserves are developed and funded. They show the proposed layout of features and facilities in the reserve, which will be developed by Council over time.

Why should I be interested?

  • Do you use these reserves?

  • Are you interested in sustainable development and the natural environment?

  • Do you want more to be spent on providing playgrounds, toilets or other facilities?

  • Would you like changes to the way these reserves are used?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions – we would love to hear from you!

Precious Family Reserve

Located at the southern end of the Omokoroa golf course, this reserve provides walking access to the harbour’s edge from the end of Anderley Ave and Hamurana Road.

The existing 2003 Concept Plan needs reviewing and your feedback will make sure our future planning takes into account community views.
