Timeline
Glass entrance canopy removed
The glass entrance canopy has now been removed, and work has started to dismantle the facade at the front of the building.
Next, the southern wall will come down and the garden will be lowered. After that, the roof glass will be taken out and the roof refixed and repainted, before a new south wall and entrance are built.
Leaking roof area removed
Good progress is being made, despite a few weather delays.
The parts of the roof that were leaking and rotten have been removed, along with the entrance and southern wall. The new roof pieces are now in place, the southern wall is being relined and work is being done on the front entrance, with new automatic doors due to be installed within the next few weeks.
The good news is, we're still on track to finish the work by the end of August!
Front entrance replaced
The front entrance and southern walls have now been replaced - with the garden at the southern wall lowered and a small retaining wall added to keep the building dry.
New automatic doors and windows have been installed at the front, the roof glass has been removed, the roof has been re-screwed and re-painted, and minor alterations have been made to two of the offices in the building to make them more useable.
Over the coming weeks we'll be doing the interior finishing and painting, with the work on schedule to finish at the end of the month.
