My principal place of residence is not in the Waihī Beach Community Board area. Together for Waihi Beach For six years, I've listened and delivered as your Community Board member, I stand unwavering for our ratepayers and local businesses. In the past three years, our community has achieved, a new library beside the Hall, progress on the Athenree Walk & Cycleway, and completion of the 2 Mile Creek project, with bridge works starting this July. Looking ahead, stormwater management tops my agenda – protecting public assets, our environment, and future generations. Our district plan, last updated in 2008, needs practical reform. As Waihi Beach shapes its new spatial framework, I will champion clear policies that guarantee sustainable growth and preserve our coastal charm. This election, vote for proven leadership that listens and delivers. Together, we will build a future of clarity, confidence, and community pride. Join me in standing up for our slice of paradise. Your vote matters, let's make waves together. Ross Goudie

Independent My principal place of residence is in the Waihī Beach Community Board area. I am just completing three years as a Waihi Beach Community Board member and seeking election for a second term. Three generations of my family have lived, worked and played at Waihi Beach and the surrounding area for well over twenty years. We are part of the Waihi Beach Community and want the best for our community. I see the role of the community board to be a representative of our local community, listening to the people, gathering information and working with the Council staff to make our place a better place to live, getting the best value for the rates we pay. Our Waihi Beach community is changing to a more permanent community, where all of the family should feel welcomed and included in our piece of paradise. I look forward to continuing to work on behalf of my family and yours, and the wider Waihi Beach Community.

My principal place of residence is in the Waihī Beach Community Board area. I am originally from Hamilton and worked in large law firms there. My husband and I had been holidaying at Waihi Beach for many years. ln 2016 I commenced working as a Legal Assistant with Anderson Law Office in Katikati. This necessitated a move to the Bay of Plenty. Our beach house did not suit our needs as a permanent residence, so we looked further afield and bought our dream home in Athenree. I love the peace and quiet in Athenree. We have a Jack Russell named Vader who enjoys our daily walks around the reserve. For myself, I really enjoy meeting other dog owners and chatting with them. My legal experience has brought me in touch with a wide variety of people and local councils over the years. I would love the opportunity to bring my legal and people skills to our local community issues.

My principal place of residence is in the Waihī Beach Community Board area. I will bring enthusiasm and skills to the Waihi Beach Community Board. During my career as a community psychologist I worked extensively with local communities to gauge impact, and provide feedback, into government policies. Employment experience across government and private industry required using data and evidence to inform decision making. For the past 3 years I’ve been treasurer for the Bowentown Community Association and currently volunteer as a St John shuttle driver. I’m now retired and want to use my skills for the broader Waihi Beach community (North End, Bowentown, Athenree, Otawhiwhi) to help ensure all our voices are heard by Council and any concerns addressed. Of importance to me is connectedness of people and organisations to strengthen sense of community; protecting and enhancing our beautiful natural environment; and maintaining/building appropriate infrastructure and facilities. I would appreciate your vote.

My principal place of residence is in the Waihī Beach Community Board area. My background is food/hospitality, journalism and publishing. I have been passionately involved with Waihi Beach Community Events & Promotions (E&P) for approximately 15 years and chairperson for 5 years, until 2023. There are many achievements that I am really proud of and to have been involved in with E&P. One was the relocation of the bach from the front of the Flat White, to transform it into the Information Centre in Wilson Road. Secondly, my proudest achievement was establishing It's About Time (IAT) magazine in 2020, to replace the two-yearly Waihi Beach Book. This was due to the 'economic times' of the Global Pandemic. I am committed to celebrating diversity, inclusion and collaboration - values that guided my leadership at E&P and continue to drive my community engagement. I believe in working toward solutions, not dwelling on problems, and offer my experience, energy, and vision to the Community Board table.

Bringing our communities together My principal place of residence is in the Waihī Beach Community Board area. I am also standing for Katikati-Waihī Beach General Ward. I am standing for both the Council and Waihi Beach Community Board. My commitment to you is to always do what is right and never have hidden agendas. A strong belief in bringing people together is why I initially joined the Community Board. To that end it has been a pleasure to see our Community Board develop a stronger relationship with our Council staff. 27 years with the police encompassed a huge variety of experiences, and I want to put those experiences into use to benefit us all. There’s a reason we have two ears and only one mouth. I will always listen to what you have to say. I focus on solutions, not criticisms, those solutions coming from working in harmony with our communities and council in a respectful way. Please check out my Facebook page; ‘Wayne Stevenson for Katikati and Waihi Beach’, and don’t hesitate to reach out.
