Bowentown Holidays Limited, the leaseholder of Council reserve land at Bowentown Domain and operator of Bowentown Beach Holiday Park, has requested permission from Council to operate a café from their lease premises. The café would be open to the general public and would complement the existing holiday park business.

Council has approved this proposal in principle and now invites feedback from the community before making a final decision.

Next steps

After the consultation period closes, a formal report will be prepared after the consultation period to summarise feedback received.

If submissions or objections are made, a hearing may be held before Council decides whether to proceed with the addition of the café operating under the current lease with Council via its delegated powers granted by the Reserves Act 1977.
