My principal place of residence is in the Ōmokoroa Community Board Subdivision area. I am also standing for Kaimai General Ward. Raised on a farm but have spent most of my career in exec roles across business and government. I understand how to deliver practical results that matter to our community. As Chair of the Ōmokoroa Community Board, and through my roles as a Justice of the Peace, Marriage Celebrant, Event MC, and Rotarian, I have proudly served the Western Bay of Plenty in many ways. I believe the Council must be more transparent, more accountable, and easier for people to engage with. Ratepayers deserve confidence that their money is being spent wisely and effectively. Fast-growing communities need strong attention to the basics - clean and affordable water, reliable rubbish services, well-maintained roads, and quality reserves. We also need serious progress on public transport, especially for residents in Ōmokoroa and Te Puna. With your support, I will bring strong leadership, fresh thinking, and a genuine local voice to the Council table.

My principal place of residence is in the Ōmokoroa Community Board Subdivision area. I am an Omokoroa resident and currently serve as Deputy Chair of the Omokoroa Community Board. My background is in HR, Employment Relations, and Mediation. I led Employee Relations at Shell Todd during the Maui B Construction Project and managed HR at Capital and Coast Health Board during a period of crisis. I have mediated over 1,000 disputes. ln recent years, following retirement, I have worked part-time supporting schools with employment matters. I am Team Leader of the Omokoroa Community Response Team with our core aim, during crises, to support those in need. I am actively involved with MenzShed Omokoroa. I am a JP. My immediate and extended families are at the centre of who I am. ln my Community Board role my focus is on maintaining and strengthening Omokoroa's village character, while supporting Omokoroa's future, drawing on significant skills in consensus-building and addressing complex challenges.

Experienced leadership for Ōmokoroa My principal place of residence is in the Ōmokoroa Community Board Subdivision area. I live in Ōmokoroa with my wife, daughter, and our cat, Molly. I’m passionate about this special place and its future. In my career in the rail industry, I designed rules and procedures for a safe rail system. I have extensive experience in emergency management, enabling me to work with people at various levels of government. Civil Defence and Conservation Ministers recognised my efforts in the Mount Ruapehu Lahar process. I am Chairperson of the Ōmokoroa Community Policing Group Charitable Trust and a member of the Community Response Team and Rotary. Ōmokoroa is facing challenges from housing intensification. The merger of our Community Board means Ōmokoroa needs a strong voice to ensure we deal with these challenges. I want to use my skills and experience gained over a career in public service to be that voice. I would appreciate your vote for the Ōmokoroa–Kaimai Community Board.
