Community engagement has concluded. Council is in the process of analysing the feedback and will be in touch with next steps.
Have your say on the future growth of Katikati - feedback closes on Thursday 31 May 2018.
Council is seeking feedback from the community about possible areas for Katikati’s future residential development.
Katikati's population is projected to grow by 2000 people to as much as 6,810 people by 2043 and could grow further. However, there is only enough land (zoned for housing and available) to provide for about 600 new people. To cater for more growth, Council needs to identify land which is feasible for development, rezone it to residential and service it so houses can be built when needed.
Fill out the feedback form
Come along to an open day at the Katikati Community Centre on Wednesday 9 May from 3pm to 7pm.
Our commitment to your feedback
Your feedback is important. Once a decision has been made on which area/areas to investigate, Council will be back in touch with you for your input into the next steps. This includes structure planning, preparing and notifying a District Plan change, and a formal public participation process.
