My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Community Board area. I am also standing for Katikati-Waihī Beach General Ward. A Katikati resident, Chair of Katikati Community Board, Katikati 150th Anniversary, and a Charitable Trust, I have focused on economic development and the environment and supported ratepayers. The 33% rate increase over the past 3 years has impacted the cost of living, residents' well-being and employment. They are a barrier to growth and employment. Active in community groups, made submissions on rate and financial contribution increases. I will work to control rate increases and focus on the essentials, protect the environment, and making Katikati attractive for families. The Community Board opposed Council's proposed amalgamation with Waihi Beach - Katikati Community Board remains independent. There are significant changes in the next 3 years. I have held senior roles in capital-intensive industries, run my own business, focusing on leadership, productivity, and change management. With this experience I feel capable of addressing the challenges. Let’s make it together.

Independent My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Community Board area. Many folks on the pension or fixed incomes and wages are doing it tough and must make do with annual cost of living rises set by the CPI inflation rate. The District Council should be no different. Our rates rises should be pegged to the CPI rate. Having advised councils in Auckland, Whanganui and Horowhenua, corporates and run my own small business, I've seen first-hand how prudent policy can work in practice without harming vital services. The resealing of Fairview Road shows how good intentions can deliver shoddy outcomes. Many local issues can easily be resolved with open communication and commonsense ensuring everyone gets to enjoy our great Lifestyle. I retired to Katikati over three years ago and have been welcomed by so many open-hearted and friendly people and now consider myself part of this wonderful local community. l would be honored to serve you on the Katikati Community Board.

My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Community Board area. Two Terms of Progress & Community Pride As I approach the end of my second term as your elected Councillor, I reflect with pride on the progress we've made together. My time in office has deepened my understanding of Council operations and strengthened my relationships with staff and community - helping develop and deliver Long-Term Plan projects for Katikati has been my privilege. With the experience I’ve gained, I'm well-positioned to continue advancing the delivery and maintenance work needed in our village and surrounding hinterlands. Advocacy for community-led development and wellbeing will be my major priority. My Focus Going Forward: Smart, safe pavements - hazard-free and accessible; Street calming and safer roads - working with NZTA on better transit options, including a potential bypass; Listening to local voices - continuing to champion the needs and vision of Katikati residents. Let's keep building a safer, stronger, and more connected future together.

My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Community Board area. I have been involved in public service roles for 48 years. Power Board (pre Govt. changes), Council, TECT, currently ratepayers and Community Board. Future performance and philosophy is more important. Current Board Chair is doing a great job, but Council must enable Community Board to return to past delegations, to truly represent our people. When 78% of public recently voted one way, but Mayor and majority of Councillors voted the opposite way, their attitude towards democracy was worrying. Public must insist Council focus on basics first, and nice to haves only when affordable. The number of concerned ratepayers I meet, some with tears in their eyes, confirm the above opinion. NZ Taxpayers Union, Mystery Creek Launch says rate rises no higher than inflation. This is common sense and very achievable, and good business practice to achieve this. Please register your feelings and vote.

My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Community Board area. I am standing for the Katikati Community Board because I believe every voice in our town deserves to be heard - from our long-standing residents to our newest young families. As a parent raising a family here, I understand the need for safe spaces, strong community connection, services, and facilities that support all ages. As an experienced small business owner, I’m also passionate about creating an environment where local businesses can thrive, recognising their vital role in a healthy, resilient town. I’ll advocate for practical improvements - like better parks, services and facilities, more family-friendly initiatives, safer streets and support for local enterprise - while ensuring all residents feel represented and heard. Together, we can build a vibrant, welcoming Katikati where residents feel safe, families flourish, businesses succeed, and every voice matters. Ngā mihi, Annie

Independent My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Community Board area. I’m asking for your vote because I think the rates increases over the past years are unacceptably high and believe that getting involved is the only way to create change. My thoughts on council spending are that the basics should be done well and anything else should only be done without borrowing money or taking more from the ratepayer. No more wasteful spending. I’m an electronics engineer and an orchardist and have a young family that loves living in the Katikati area. I believe common sense decisions need to be made to continue the development of the Western Bay of Plenty, without increasing the financial impact on the community.
