In May and June 2023, a series of severe storms brought unprecedented rainfall to our district, causing a significant slip along Bledisloe Park Avenue. This event reduced the road to a single lane for an extended period, impacting road users.
In May-July 2025 we restored the road, by building a robust timber pole retaining wall, installing improved drainage systems, and reinstating the road to its full two-way service.
These essential upgrades will ensure the road remains safe, resilient, and accessible for our community.
We've got a couple of finishing touches to go, including line marking and touching up the kerb outlet, but the works are otherwise completed.
